Q

Do I have to be present for the walkthrough or closing?

A

No. Although we prefer it so there are no surprises, as long as there is a way for us to access the property for a walkthrough you don’t need to be there for it. For closing, we can send a notary to you, so no need to appear in person for closing.

Q

Do you buy properties that are under construction?

A

We will! We will buy your property whether it is halfway there, just the studs, or if it needs all the work.

Q

Do you require inspections or repairs?

A

No. We don’t require inspections and we take any necessary repairs or clean up needed into account before making our offer, so no surprises for you just before closing.

Q

Do I have to evict tenants?

A

Nope. We will handle everything with the tenants once we close. We will manage their move out and clean up once they are gone.

Q

Do you buy properties that are occupied by tenants?

A

Yep. We will work around your tenants to come see the property and we can take care of any issues regarding late payments, damages, or difficult tenants. You have nothing to worry about once we close.

Q

Is HomeGo the right choice for anybody who’s trying to sell their home?

A

HomeGo is the best choice for homeowners who want convenience, simplicity, a worry-free home sale, and are willing to sell for less than market value. HomeGo specializes in homes that need repairs or for homeowners who need to sell their home fast. If you are prepared to make the necessary updates and repairs to list your home, and have the time to allow it to sell by traditional listing, then HomeGo may not be your best option.

Q

Does selling my house to HomeGo cost anything?

A

No. Selling your house to HomeGo does not require any upfront investment from you. There’s no service charge, we don’t charge a commission or closing cost. We also don’t require you to make any repairs prior to closing.  HomeGo makes money on the resale of the properties we buy.

Q

What if repairs are needed on my home?

A

Don’t worry about it. We buy houses “as-is,” which means you don’t need to lift a finger to repair, paint, or clean anything. That rusty old car in backyard? It’s our problem now. Foundation issues, roof need repair? No problem. HomeGo is truly a stress-free way to sell your home when you don’t have the time or energy to go the traditional route.

Q

How is a walk-through different than a traditional inspection?

A

A traditional home inspection is designed to build a list of all the repairs you need to make to your home and can take several hours to complete. Sometimes it can take up half of your day. During this time, the home inspector will inspect almost every inch of your house. They will examine your water heater, furnace, plumbing, foundation, roof, attic, crawl space, appliances, electrical, basement and more. They’ll open doors, peek into every nook and cranny, look into your vents, and even turn on your faucets, heating, and air conditioning. They’ll report back any item that is broken or not working properly, the buyer will then renegotiate their offer and/or require that you fix certain things before closing. A HomeGo walkthrough is much less cumbersome and we do it with you* so there are no surprise lists at the end. We don’t perform plumbing tests, electrical tests, or mold tests. In fact, there are no tests at all. We just want to take a look at the inside of the house and get you a firm cash offer to help you sell your house as fast as possible.

Q

How do I sell my home to HomeGo?

A

Give us your address online or over the phone. Schedule a walkthrough with a licensed agent* and receive an on-the-spot offer. Accept our offer and we’ll begin the the process to close on your home. Close whenever you want, get your cash whenever you want! There is no need for home repairs, and no showings. You can complete the process in one day or three months. We work on your time-frame, whatever that may be. Learn more about our process.

Q

How does HomeGo determine my home’s purchase price?

A

We look at a combination of factors with our buying formula, including: The current real estate market in the area, the homes features, and the level of repairs required. The licensed agent* will walk you through our offer process and answer any questions you have. Learn more about how we calculate our offers.

Q

Why not go the “For Sale By Owner” route?

A

In an attempt to stay in control of selling your home and avoid paying a commission, it can be tempting to consider selling your home yourself. But there are a few things you want to keep in mind. Going the “for sale by owner” (“FSBO”) route can be extremely challenging…not to mention risky. You may need to make repairs and take excellent photographs of your property to attract buyers. You’ll then need to ensure your home is found online by prospective buyers and listed in all the right places. You’ll have to make yourself available for showings almost any day or time of the week. It can be inconvenient, but also dangerous. How do you know who’s walking into your home? It’s up to you to make sure the buyer is qualified. Do you know the difference between being pre-approved for a mortgage and being pre-qualified? You’ll have no agent representation during the home selling process. You’ll spend a lot of time waiting. FSBOs spend an average of 88 days on the market. With HomeGo, you don’t have to worry about any of the above and you can STILL avoid paying real estate commissions and service fees charged by similar companies.

Q

Do I need to make any repairs?

A

Nope. You don’t have to lift a finger. We buy houses as-is. That means you don’t have to hire a repairman, pay for it to be cleaned, or worry about expensive repairs. We will buy your house in the exact condition it is in right now.

Q

How long does the home selling process take?

A

A traditional home sale can take months. With HomeGo, you can sell your home and close in as little as seven days. We move as fast as you want to move! Learn more about our process.

Q

How is selling a house with HomeGo different than going the traditional route?

A

You don’t have to spend your valuable time or money on repairs. No time-consuming showings. And, no paying commissions or closing costs.

Q

When does my home go into escrow?

A

The escrow process starts as soon as you sign our final cash offer. Oftentimes, we can present you with our final cash offer on the very same day you reach out to us.

Q

Can I take my appliances with me when I move?

A

Yes. You can take your appliances and anything else you want, just request it prior to our offer.

Q

What happens after I accept the final cash offer?

A

The escrow process begins once you accept our cash offer. You let us know when you’d like to close and we work to make that a reality. From there, the closing process is pretty easy. We can send the closing documents and even the notary right to your home or office, so you don’t have to put a single moment of your life on hold. Learn more about our closing process.

Q

How do I request a cash offer from HomeGo?

A

It’s simple. Just fill out the form or give us a call. A representative will then call you within 24 hours.  Most of the time we can give you an on-the-spot cash offer the same day. Learn more about our process.

Q

What if I’m not in a hurry to sell?

A

That’s okay. We understand that every homeowner and every situation is different. We can work with any timeline you’re comfortable with. The one thing you want to keep in mind is that the market changes from month to month and season to season. Our offers can vary over time, and our initial cash offer is only valid for a limited period of time. But we are always able to give you an updated offer when you are ready.

Q

Can I choose my closing date?

A

You bet! We work on your timeframe. You can close in as little as seven days or set your closing date a few months out if you need more time to pack and move. You can even use our lease back program to stay longer.
